All espresso machines and grinders are tested at the manufacturing level. The technicians will remove as much of the espresso grounds from the unit as possible. Please keep in mind during transit from the manufacturer to the retailer, movement takes place which can result in some of the espresso grounds dislodging and appearing within the machine. Furthermore, when Consiglio's ships your machine to you the machine encounters more movement, resulting in more ground espresso dislodging from the unit. Coffee grounds can be seen within the grinder, within the machine, or sometimes within the product packaging.
This is not a defect, this is normal and can appear on all new espresso machines and grinders as it is tested at the manufacturing level.
