Cleaning Stainless Steel and Copper Cookware

Below are examples of markings that can be easily removed by the below cleaning methods. This is not a defect.

Stainless Steel Cookware:

You can use plain white vinegar and water to remove these markings. Simply add 1/4 cup water and 1/4 cup plain white vinegar to the pot and wash away with a regular sponge. These markings happen depending on the acidity level of the food and minerals within the water. This is not the material lifting or coming apart. You can also use a stainless steel cleaner such as All-Clad or Bar Keepers friend.

Copper Cookware:

Copper is a metal that will oxidize. From the time it is packaged at the manufacturing level to the time the consumer opens the unit, oxidization can form. Shipping, shelf life, packaging – can all cause this to happen. All-Clad cleaner can remove markings and bring the original shine of the copper product back. Use the All-Clad cleaner with a small amount of water and a regular nonabrasive sponge or cloth.
