Designed for the pressing of eggplants, fruits, tomatoes and more. To prevent pulp/seeds we suggest using a cheese cloth if seeds are smaller than 1.9mm. Torchietto is a tool commonly used for pressing eggplants (jardiniere), vegetables, nut milk, pressing cheese, and juicing fruits and vegetables. To extract the most juice from your batch of fruits/vegetables it is recommended to pulse or cut the food into small pieces. Fruits with pits and hard objects are not recommended.*

Scratches/small dents may appear at the bottom of the basket, due to the nature of how the basket sits in the press. This is not a manufacturer defect.

Turning the handle moves the pressing plate downwards. Do not apply excess pressure by forcing the pressing plate. Enough pressure is created by simply turning the handle.

Hand wash. Clean and store in a dry place. You can apply light coating of vegetable oil on the shaft over time when needed.
